Not so satisfying is the underlying engine: I can accept that segmented x86 is not the main focus of the software, but its extreme instability (crashes, corruption of the project state and other miscellaneous bugs) was unexpected. As much as I want to revive the spirit of the early DOS era, I do not need to recall its worse sides. In any case, after fixing and submitting patches for the worst blockers, and finding workarounds for the lesser annoyances, I was able to get some value back.
